They are so honest, innocent, magical, and curious. I love that each child has their own unique personality; Some are serious, funny, goofy, sweet, cuddly, or intellectual. They are all so special.

During the session, I spend some time getting to know them as we walk to look for good light. I ask what their favorite activities and things are. Then I let them take over in showing me the way to their very own imagination. That is when their personality begins to come through.

Portraits are not just about smiling at the camera and getting a treat if you do so. They are about capturing exactly who they are and who they may became — what a beautiful adventure.
